Musically, my first love was, and is, the French Horn. Over the years, I have picked up the skills to play a variety of instruments ranging from other brass instruments to percussion and keyboard instruments. I still play regularly as a church organist and really enjoy the privilege of worshiping in this way. 

I have the privilege of conducting several choirs: "Sans Pareil Singers," a community choir based in Hurworth near Darlington; St Herbert’s Choir, another community choir, based in Darlington and two Church choirs- All Saints’ Hurworth and All Saints and Salutation, Blackwell, where I am the Director of Music and organist. With nearly 20 years' experience as a conductor leading a number of other choirs, I really enjoy the excitement and challenge of building up a choir's confidence, expertise and repertoire. As well as using standard published music, I enjoy composing and arranging music to specifically meet the needs of these and other ensembles.
