Drawings and sketches

This is where my pen and pencil work lives. Feel free to browse amongst the scribbling!

Pharaoh. Pencil on sugar paper.

I keep forcing myself to draw people, and finally like this image, as yet unfinished. The drawing is actually quite large- bigger than A2- and was created during a lesson to demonstrate various elements of pencil work and portraiture.

Hoagie. Pencil drawing

Like people, I have to force myself to draw animals. This young troublemaker belongs to my brother and his partner - the picture was sent to me after he had been deposited there to allow them to get dressed!

Morley town hall. A3. Pen and ink.

I have a real interest in architecture, which usually shows itself through my modelling. This is in response to walking around the town of Morley and noticing how much amazing architecture there is.

The Tower Bank Arms in the Lake District, near to Beatrix Potter's house.

A lodge in the Langdale Estate, again in the Lake District.

Stone hut. Pen and ink, with artist’ felt pens.

This is was a wedding commission. Despite looking like something from the hobbit, this is a real venue, and a lovely one, too!

Diocletian’s palace, Split. Pencil sketch

Steampunk robot. A3 Pen and ink with artists felt tips

A new departure for me into the world of the futuristic...

Another steampunk offering- an armoured, steam-powered hotel named Mavis 1...

This will form part of my novel "Charlie and the Neverland Stone," a book aimed at lower KS2 children.
